St. John Fisher School is Roman Catholic located in the historic Beverly-Morgan Park community on Chicago’s Southwest Side. A large campus and well-kept buildings are home to seven hundred students in grades pre-K through 8, most of which come from within a one-mile radius of the school. There is a strong sense of pride in the school and in the community which has been described as “a village in the city”.

The faculty at St. John Fisher is well balanced by both veteran teachers with an average of fifteen years of teaching experience and new teachers whose enthusiasm and creativity complement the wisdom and experience of the veteran staff. All are qualified for their position and continue to pursue both advanced degrees and other professional growth opportunities to strengthen their professional credentials and ensure inspiring, state of the art teaching techniques in the classroom.

The curriculum at St. John Fisher is comprehensive and centered on providing a rigorous program that meets individual learning styles and prepares the St John Fisher graduate to do well in high school, college and beyond. In addition to the regular course of study, the school provides an excellent educational technology program, fine arts program, and an extensive athletic program that involves more than four hundred children in intramural and extramural activities.

As one of the largest schools in the Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago, the enrollment at St. John Fisher School has remained strong, as parents continue to praise the strong curriculum, attention to the whole child, a welcoming sense of community and the school’s emphasis on family and Catholic values.
