Dear St. John Fisher Students and Families,

It is with great excitement and honor that I introduce myself, Jim Fornaciari, as the new Principal of St. John Fisher. My passion for education and commitment to student success has shaped my career for over thirty years. Throughout my career in public education, I have worked to ensure the success of all students by providing the best instruction possible. In keeping with this career long mission, ensuring an outstanding education to each of our St. John Fisher students will be my top priority.

An outstanding education requires the daily commitment of high caliber teachers who are dedicated to helping every student work toward reaching their potential. Student development also takes place outside the classroom, where students are encouraged to engage in a wide variety of valuable extracurricular activities in an effort to develop character and spiritual growth. As a long- time coach and sponsor, I greatly value the lessons students can learn from these endeavors. As the Principal of St. John Fisher, I am committed to ensuring that student needs and interests help shape our instructional and extracurricular programs. It will be through this commitment to student success that I anxiously look forward to seeing our students engaged in the classroom, on the playing field and on the stage.

My experience working in several outstanding schools has taught me that success cannot be accomplished without the collaboration of many valuable stakeholders. Over the past few weeks I have enjoyed meeting and becoming acquainted with some of the many enthusiastic students, parents, and staff at St. John Fisher. Through these interactions it was easy to see the great pride and enthusiasm all have in a St. John Fisher education. It is with that same enthusiasm that I look forward to partnering with all investors to move St. John Fisher forward.

Although I am very proud of my career in public education, I hold in great regard the mission, value and philosophy of Catholic education. I look forward to working closely with Father Ken and the entire school community to ensure that upon graduating from St. John Fisher, our students’ morals and values are clearly woven into the fabric of their lives, and they are prepared to make a positive impact on the world around them.

I look forward to a fantastic school year!

Have a great summer.
