Dear SJF Families, Happy St. Patrick’s Day Weekend! Thank you to Joe & Colleen Hurley and the entire St. Pat’s Committee for organizing a wonderful fundraiser and event for our whole parish last Saturday! Thank you to everyone who was able to join us on Saturday and to everyone who purchased a raffle ticket to support our school! From the beauitful Irish Mass hosted by our remarkable third graders, Dr. Chermak, Mrs. Caulfield and Mrs. Regnier to the Irish music and dancers at the party and the delicious food and phenomenal company, last Saturday was an incredible celebration and feel-good night for our whole parish! We are all so lucky to be Falcons! This week was an outstanding week of learning at SJF! Our teachers and students have discussed and reviewed the importance of following school rules, working hard on assignments, and finishing the school year strong. We know our Falcons will continue to persevere and march forward with determination to make this trimester the best yet! The harder we work the luckier we get! All are welcome to march in the parade with us on Sunday! Even if you can’t walk the entire route, feel free to walk as far as you are able! We’d love to see you and celebrate our school and...

One of our school themes is “Fly Like a Falcon”. Falcons SOAR above, capturing an aerial view of what is going on below. We are encouraging our school community to “SOAR above” things that might bring us down, not allowing us to be our best selves. We are on a school-wide crusade to “Fly Like a Falcon”, lifting one another up, celebrating the positive interactions, and kind behavior that our students and staff demonstrate each and every day. This week, we recognize 3rd graders, Libbie Murphy & Anne Weber. Recently, Libbie and Anne were outside playing in the church parking lot with their class during recess. While Libbie and Anne were playing, they noticed a sealed church envelope. This envelope contained a family’s weekly cash offering inside. Libbie and Anne immediately told their teacher and then personally returned that envelope to Fr. Ken in the rectory. Libbie and Anne exude integrity and honesty and we are so proud of them for doing the right thing. Thank you Libbie and Anne for being a phenomenal example to us all. You have reminded us of the importance of doing the right thing, even when no one is looking. Keep flying like a Falcon, you both are making a difference!
