Geometric Design in Architecture

A Project for Junior High Students

This is a two-part project in which you will get to express your creativity and your awareness of the existence of geometric shape in architecture around the world.  First, you will select a structure or building from this list.  Get your choice approved by your teacher. 

Step One.  Prepare a single powerpoint slide.  On this slide, you will place a large picture of your building or structure.  Then you will use animated autoshapes, lines and textboxes to diagram and label the geometric figures that you see in this building.  Here is a sample of the powerpoint.  (Click "open," then click through the slide show.  Close the powerpoint when you are finished to return here).  Of course, yours will be much more detailed!  You will try to find a minimum of 20 geometric shapes/terms.
