Fundraising |
Funding at St. John Fisher School is
based on two major sources of revenue,
tuition and fundraising. Every family is
assessed a fee of $175.00 at the
beginning of the year to cover the
fundraising portion of the school
budget. A significant portion of that
fee can be reimbursed through
participation in the Market Day Program
or the Magazine/Gift Sale catalogue
sale. A percentage of those sales is
returned as a tuition rebate.
The St. John Fisher MANNA program is the
most effective way to reduce tuition
costs. Gift certificates from hundreds
of stores are available at full price. A
portion of each certificate is refunded
to our parents as a tuition rebate.
Merchant certificates give varying
percentages for rebate, but regular use
of the MANNA program results in
significant savings. A portion of all
MANNA sales also goes to the school and
is used to enhance our school program,
especially in technology and the fine
arts. We strongly encourage
participation in this fundraiser. MANNA
sales are available at different times
throughout the week and on the weekend.
The family school association also
collects Kemps milk caps and Box Tops
for Education coupons that appear on the
tops of many cereals, cookies, and other
General Mills products. Our large school
population makes this collection very
worthwhile.
The school also participates in several
re-cycling programs. The collection of
ink cartridges and cell phones has
resulted in raising significant dollars
used to defray the costs of some field
trips. We also collect paper and
magazines. Large bins for those products
are on the church parking lot.
During the course of the year there will
be other events to raise money for the
school or groups whose efforts
complement the education program at the
school such as the Family School
Association or the Athletic Association.
Participation in any of these events is
not mandatory
Funding for St. John Fisher School is
based on three major sources; tuition,
fundraising, and parish subsidy. Our
goal is to maintain a standard of
academic excellence while still having
tuition that is affordable for our
school families. Three major fundraisers
are essential to the success of our
programs; the Magazine/gift catalog
sale, Market Day, and the Annual Fisher
Feet/Feat Funathon. The first two
projects allow participants to purchase
products they would be purchasing
normally while also providing a
percentage of the sale to help fund the
school. Profits from the fundraisers are
used to balance the annual operating
budget and account for $50,000 of that
budget.
Manna Coupon Program
Families may receive tuition discounts
by purchasing Manna coupons through the
Church and School. Many local merchants
and chain stores accept the coupons
purchased through the school. A
percentage of each purchase is rebated
to the family toward tuition for each
coupon used.
Market Day
Highest quality wholesale meats, produce
and other grocer items are available
through the school on one Saturday each
month. A large corps of volunteers
provide fast and efficient service to
our customers. All items must be
pre-ordered through the school or
church.

Cartridges for Kids, and they send us a

2. Be a business sponsor — collect your
businesses cartridges at work. We will
provide you with shipping materials, and
