Enjoy the wonders of books by being read to and by reading our own books.  Explore the world of books both fiction and nonfiction. Lots to discover as we learn all about how the library system is organized and become familiar with all of the genres of literature. A fun place to be is at St. John Fisher Library!

Looking for another book in a series? Here is a fabulous web site: Mid-Continent Public Library
Click on Reader's Advisory. There you will find titles and authors for more books than you could imagine. Check it out!

Did you know that you can look for a book from home just by going to the Chicago Public Library or Suburban Library web site? Let your fingers do the walking. So before you even get in the car to see if they have that particular book you can find out if it is in. Also the library will get that particular book sent to the library of your choice just by asking. Try it. Here are the web sites.

Chicago Public Library web site - www.chipublib.org. Click on "search our catalog."

Suburban Library Web site - http://swan.mls.lib.il.us/. Click on "SWAN - SWAN online catalog."

A great web site for reading motivation for grades K-8. Especially for K-1 who don't do the accelerated reading program. It is sponsored by Sylvan Learning Center and is free. Try it: http://www.bookadventure.org.
