BeResourceful, Mrs. Biernacki

Our resource department includes Mrs. Win Biernacki, Mrs. Karen Brogan, and Ms. Noreen Higgins, along with our IDEA teachers, Mrs. Dorothy Burke and Mrs. Terrie Winters.  Together with our dedicated volunteers, we work with students in Pre-K through 8th grades to not only reinforce students' classroom learning but to also teach reading, writing, math and study skills; assist students with organizational skills; provide test preparation and administration; and encourage students as they learn to advocate for themselves and work toward becoming independent learners.  We are grateful to partner with our fellow SJF faculty and parents to support our students every day.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Posted on Mar 17, 2020

This is truly a challenging time for everyone, and perhaps most challenging for parents.  Many of you are first-responders or in the medical field and will likely be called upon (if you haven't already) to aide during this time.  Thank you for all you do - our positive thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you and people everywhere as we go through the coming days and weeks together.

That said, many of you are working from home, along with your own kids and maybe even others.  Keeping them busy (and yourself from going crazy) can be a challenge.  We hope to post some online resource for our students (most of these are free) to help fill the time.  And while we never want to recommend kids spend all day looking at screens, we do think it is important to keep the learning ongoing!  Feel free to reach out to Mrs. Biernacki,, anytime with questions or if you or your child need any help with a lesson, etc.  I will do my best to find the answer.

All the best - stay happy and healthy!  Check back as we will update regularly.
