Notes from Mrs. Nash 3.15.19

Dear SJF Families,

Happy St. Paddy’s Day weekend! Today the St. Patrick’s Day spirit was alive and well in the building as we were graced with the performance of the accomplished Dennehy Irish Dancers. There is nothing like Irish dancers and Irish music to put you in the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day and the South Side Irish Parade weekend. Our celebration continues. Please feel free to join us this Sunday as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with our Irish mass at 9:15 a.m., hosted by our awesome 3rd graders, and gather to march in the parade around 11:30 a.m. on 103rd and Artesian near the 7/11. We are float #19. All are welcome to join us! Please note that because of our 9:15 mass, there will be no 10 o’clock or 12 o’clock mass this Sunday.

In addition to athletic games this weekend, tomorrow our SJF musicians are performing in the annual solo contest at St. Laurence, and our Scholastic Team is competing in a scholastic bowl at Barrington Middle School. Best of luck to all of our talented Falcons! I know you will make us proud in all of your endeavors!

As many of you know, our Manna program started taking credit card payments this school year. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen costs and fees, as of April 1st, we no longer will be accepting credit card payments as it is a severe detriment to the program. We are grateful for all of your support to Manna and apologize for the inconvenience.

I hope to see you at some point this weekend to wish you a Happy St. Patrick’s Day! As always, thank you so much for your commitment to Catholic education.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Maura Nash
