Dear SJF Families,

We are half-way through our very busy month.  This week our students learned about the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  Dr. King was a staunch supporter of equal rights, human rights, peace and education.  He said, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically.  Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.”  I am a firm believer that our school embodies just that.  I would argue that character comes first.  One of our most important jobs is to ensure that our children always act with integrity and have an unwavering strong character.  We want to ensure that all of our kids can go out into the world and make a positive impact and difference.  Thank you for choosing St. John Fisher and for partnering with us to cultivate these fabulous and inspiring young people.

We will continue to discuss and celebrate the importance of Catholic Schools during Catholic Schools Week which begins for SJF on January 25th.  Please see below the many exciting events ahead.  Thank you so much for your continued support and commitment to Catholic education, but specifically, St. John Fisher School.

       In unity and hope,

       -Mrs. Maura Nash
