May 31, 2020 - CONGRATS CLASS OF 2020!

Posted on May 31, 2020

Dear SJF Families,

Please join me in congratulating our resilient and talented Class of 2020 as they officially leave our nest! Today we honored and celebrated the student leaders of our school one last time in a one-of-a-kind graduation ceremony. This is not the ending any of us could have or would have ever imagined for this class and their loving families who have supported them along the way. These incredible students have worked so hard during their time as falcons in order to build a strong foundation for a successful future. Together, our 8th graders have earned $180,000 in scholarships and awards to their future high schools. Our graduates are armed with many talents and skills including faith, perseverance, tenacity, intelligence, humor, creativity, loyalty and kindness. Our 8th graders will continue on their journey as Mighty Macs, Crusaders, Caravan, Redhawks, Vikings, Mustangs, Eagles and Caxys, but their forever home away from home, where they were molded and shaped into the impressive young people they are today, will always be St. John Fisher. I am so proud of how this class has stayed the course during this difficult time in their lives, all the way until the end. They have truly flown as a flock. The Class of 2020 will always be a historical class because they ended their career at SJF during a pandemic, but they have also left an indelible mark on our hearts and in the halls and classrooms of SJF and for that we are forever grateful. I cannot wait to learn and hear about their successful and oh so bright future. Congratulations Class of 2020 – you will be missed!

As the rest of us finish up this last week of school, I continue to be in awe of our community. My heart is full of gratitude for each of you as this last week of school comes to an end. We have worked hard and stayed the course all the way until the end. We all need a break, no doubt, but I am so proud of all we have accomplished. We stuck together. We never stopped learning. We never stopped praying. We are falcons!

Thank you for your continued support of Catholic education, but specifically St. John Fisher School. Stay well and take the best of care.

In unity and hope,

-Mrs. Maura Nash
