2nd Grader Lou Spadoni

Posted on Apr 19, 2021

This year, our school theme is “Fly Like a Falcon.” Falcons SOAR above, capturing an aerial view of what is going on below. We are encouraging our school community to “SOAR above” things that might bring us down, not allowing us to be our best selves. We are on a school-wide crusade to “Fly Like a Falcon”, lifting one another up, celebrating the positive interactions and kind behavior that our students and staff demonstrate each and every day.

This week we recognize second grader, Lou Spadoni. We have all experienced that feeling of not wanting to go to work or school. Or having a rough start to the morning because we’d rather stay in bed! This was recently the case for Lou’s younger brother in kindergarten. Lou was caught in the act of being the best big brother a guy could ask for! Lou knew that his little brother was having a hard morning so he took the time to walk him to his door, trying to cheer him up along the way. As a second grader, it would be easy to not be in tune with someone’s feelings. But, big brother Lou was there to help make sure his sibling was able to feel a little better before he went into school, giving him a pep talk and a hug. We are fortunate to be able to learn from our youngest Falcons each day. Thank you, Lou, for being so kind and supportive of your little brother when he needed you the most. You helped him have a better day and set a great example for everyone around you, making our school a brighter place! You are fun. You are special. You are a wonderful role model and we are proud that you are a Falcon! Keep flying like a Falcon, Lou. You are making a difference!
