Dear SJF Families,

Today marked the last day of school for our 8th grade Falcons. We are so proud of all that they accomplished and are confident that they received a strong foundation which will lead them to great success at: Br. Rice, De La Salle, Marist, Mother McAuley, Mount Carmel, St. Ignatius and Whitney Young. Though this class is the 70th graduating class from St. John Fisher, they truly are a class of firsts! They are the first to have to eat behind plexiglass barriers, to sit 6 feet apart, to wear a mask to school, to not participate in any extra-curricular activities, the list of disappointments goes on and on. None of these “firsts” were enjoyable, but the Class of 2021 endured their circumstances and led our school positively in the face of true adversity. I am confident that they can do and be anything they want! Please join me in praying for the graduating Class of 2021 and their families as they officially fly away from the Falcon nest this Sunday. We love you Falcons and wish you all the best that life has to offer!

Next week is the last week of school for the rest of our student body! I still cannot believe that we made it through an entire year of in-person learning during a pandemic. I applaud our students, parents, teachers and staff for staying the course and making the absolute best out of this unprecedented situation. Please encourage your students to continue to work hard and finish this last week of school strong! Every assignment, quiz and test counts!

Thank you for your continued support of Catholic education, specifically St. John Fisher School. Enjoy the beautiful weather and have a wonderful weekend!

In unity and hope,

-Mrs. Maura Nash
