The Week of January 9th - January 13th

Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had wonderful holiday!

8^th Grade: 

Monday is Accelerated Math.  On Tuesday, we continue working with angles and triangles. Students will solve problems using The Triangle Sum Theorem and The Exterior Angle Theorem. We will learn how to determine when two triangles are similar.  We will finish the week learning about The Pythagorean Theorem.  On Friday, we will have a quiz on angles formed by parallel lines cut by a transversal (corresponding angles, alternate interior angles, etc.)

7^th Grade:

Monday is Accelerated Math. On Tuesday, we begin our unit on expressions and equations.  We will translate and write algebraic expressions and equations. Next, we will work with combining like terms.  We will finish the week working with the commutative, associative and distributive properties.
