The Week of November 14th - November 18th

Second semester begins today, November 14^th.

8^th Grade:

Monday is Accelerated Math.  On Tuesday, we continue working with non-proportional relationships. We will create linear non-proportional relationships using tables, equations and graphs.  Next, we learn how to determine slope using the y-intercept. On Friday, we will take a break from non-proportional relationships and review some geometry concepts including angles, area, and perimeter.

 

7^th  Grade:

Monday is Accelerated Math.  On Tuesday, we be our unit on Proportions and Percent.  We will start by a review the relationship between fractions, decimals and percents.  We spend the rest of the week working on percent increase and decrease.  Students will have a quiz on converting fractions – decimals – percents on Friday, November 18^th.
