Reminder – Picture Day is Tuesday, October 4th!

8th Grade:

Monday is Accelerated Math.  On Tuesday, we will begin working with operations using scientific notation. First, we learn how to add and subtract numbers using scientific notation.  Next, we will learn how to multiply and divide numbers using scientific notation.  Our unit test, covering rational and irrational numbers, as well as exponents and scientific notation, is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, October 13th.  Students will receive a study guide to help prepare for the test. Additional practice problems will also be available on Google Classroom.

**8th Grade Integers Review**

Operation with integers is an important part of a number of the topics studied in 8th grade.  Those students who would like a review of adding and subtracting integers may attend one of two sessions where we will review and work on problems.  Students may attend either one of the following sessions: Tuesday, October 4th at 7:30 a.m.   OR    Thursday, October 6th at 2:30 p.m.

7th Grade:

Monday is Accelerated Math.  We will spend the remainder of the week working with rational numbers.  We will work with all operations using fractions and decimals.  We will complete this section on Friday and begin reviewing for our unit test, which will include all operations with integers and rational numbers. Our unit test will be Thursday, October 13th.  Students will receive a study to help prepare for the test.  Additional practice problems will also be available on Google Classroom.
