Welcome Back!! I hope that everyone had a great summer. An outline of my class expectations and curriculum can be found in the “Important Documents” section of my blog. This year we will use the on-line version of our “Go Math” series. Each week, I will post an overview on my blog of the topics we will cover in math. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have during the school year.
I am looking forward to a great school year and hope to see you at “Meet the Teacher Night” on Tuesday, August 30th, at 6:30 p.m.
8th Grade
We begin the school year discussing number sets. First, we will discuss and work with rational numbers, and then move on to irrational numbers. We will work with finding square roots and cube roots. We will finish the week ordering real numbers.
7th Grade
We begin the school year working with integers. We start by adding integers with the same sign and then move on to adding integers with different signs. We will finish the week learning to subtract integers.
