Welcome to preschool! It’s going to be a year filled with fun, learning, and new adventures. First, let me tell you a little bit about me. My husband and I have 3 children all who are former Falcons!  This will be my 26th year here at St. John Fisher and it is my home away from home! I just love it here. I am lucky enough to have the BEST teaching partner in the world my sister Mrs. Annmarie Lindgren our preschool aide. We are so excited to be your teachers this year! We believe in Catholic education and think it is the best choice for building a solid foundation in faith for the future of our children. We believe that each child possess a great dignity and deserves to be treated with respect and that in the proper developmentally appropriate environment , children will gain a love of learning and a learning to love.... self, friends and the world around us. We are delighted that you have selected St. John Fisher Preschool for your child. We feel that our school is an excellent one and we will continue to strive to make it the very best possible. Our curriculum is designed to provide the best atmosphere for the total growth and development of your child. We will assist your child in developing socially, intellectually and physically in a safe and stimulating environment. St. John Fisher preschool is a place where your child will be valued for who he/she is and encouraged in everything he/she does. Please be confident that your child will have the best love and care at our preschool. Our days are full of academics and activities. We will explore many themes this year through stories, songs, arts & crafts and creative play both indoor and outdoor. The preschoolers will be celebrating Halloween on Wednesday Oct. 31st. They may come to school dressed in their costumes. The children are encouraged to bring a treat for their classmates as we will Trick or Treat around the circle. We have 22 friends in room 107.

Parents are invited to walk your child into class and stay for a “Spook-tacular” show. The preschoolers have been practicing all month long and are so excited to send you off for the day with a little scare. The show is short and sweet should be finished by 8:15 for those who need to head off to work.

Thanks for all you do to make this a fun and exciting day for these little goblins!

Thank You!!

We have been very busy getting ready for one of the best days of the year…… Halloween! We have painted pumpkins and fall trees. We made a handprint spider and a cute owl craft. We are learning some spooky poems and songs. We can’t wait to perform for you on Halloween morning. We invite all parents to walk your child to class on Halloween morning and stay for a short but very sweet show. It will end about 8:15 for those who need to head off to work.

We had fun with our prayer partners putting together Mr. Bones and learning the skeleton dance.  We are going batty learning all about bats. We just finished up a unit on bats. Ask me what nocturnal means.  Did you know that bats sleep upside down? The preschoolers had so much fun turning ourselves into bats as well. Ask me to sing Bats Are Sleeping for you.

I have attached a form for an in school field trip for the preschoolers and a Saturday ETC form for those of you interested.
