Excitement is filling the air, as the countdown to Christmas begins! I hope everyone had a great weekend, and I'm sure the students enjoyed their Friday off!
Language Arts- This week we will finish up helping and main verbs, and begin learning about linking verbs. We will have a quiz on verb tenses and helping and main verbs next Thursday, the 19th. We will also complete unit 5 in our vocabulary books this week, and our quiz will be on Friday, the 13th. We will also be writing our Christmas Around the World rough drafts this week. The students researched their assigned country last week, and we will now organize all of that information into a paper and presentation.
Science-We will be learning all about the nervous system this week!
Spelling-We are on Unit 15, and our test will be on Friday.
*Our field trip to the Museum of Science and Industry is Tuesday. As a reminder, students need to bring a brown-bag lunch and wear their gym uniforms. Parents who are chaperoning should be at the office by 8:30. Thank you!
**Get your festive gear ready for Friday! Students can be out of uniform in their favorite ugly Christmas sweater or Christmas attire with a donation for the Chicago Ridge PADS shelter. We will also be having an all-school Christmas sing-along in the afternoon!
Have a terrific week!!
