Mrs. Laura Kovatch, Fourth Grade

Hi! My name is Laura Kovatch and I teach fourth grade Language Arts and Spelling. This is my fourteenth year here at St. John Fisher, and I feel so lucky to be part of such a wonderful school community. Outside of school, I love to travel and spend time with my family, especially my beautiful daughter Katelyn. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year together!

Human Body T-Shirts and Science Test

Posted on Feb 26, 2021

Hi Everyone!

We are wrapping up our study of the human body!  To end our unit, we will be making Human Body t-shirts.  Each child will need to bring a plain white t-shirt to school by Thursday, March 4th. Students can bring in their shirts early if they'd like.  We will store them in their lockers until we make them. The t-shirt should not be too large or else the organs will end up in the wrong places.  We will be using Crayola markers to make the shirts, so please do not put the t-shirt in the washer or the marker will run.

Our human body test will be on Thursday, the 4th.  The kids have a math test on Friday, and Friday will be a great day to make our shirts!  The kids will then keep them in their lockers over the weekend since they are allowed to wear them over their uniforms the next week.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me!  Thanks so much for your help with this project!  It is always a favorite activity for 4th graders each year, and I know the kids are really looking forward to making their t-shirts and showing them off!
