I can't believe that it is already February! I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend! The snow timed perfectly with our mentor text from last week, "Snowflake Bentley." We learned about how snow crystals form and how Wilson Bentley used microphotgraphy to photograph them. We also created our own "Simile Snowflakes."
Here is some information for English and Science this week:
English-Our adjectives unit test is on Wednesday. We will then move on to learn all about adverbs! We will also begin our next writing project this week!
Science-We will begin learning about the digestive system this week!
This week is also our Catholic School’s Week celebration. We have a lot of fun things planned for the week:
Monday: Roll Out of Bed Day! Wear your pajamas and we will be playing all school BINGO.
Tuesday: Game Day! Bring a game to play!
Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday. Bring in a donation for Ronald McDonald House and you can wear a wacky outfit!
Thursday: We will have an all-school rosary prayer service.
Friday: Falcon Spirit Day-Wear your favorite Falcon gear or your special tie-dyed creation, and bring in a treat for yourself to enjoy this afternoon.
Unfortunately we don't get to have our in-person Open House this year, but you can check out this video to take a virtual tour and see all of the great things happening at SJF. https://youtu.be/IFy8xg1eHEo
Have a great week!
