Mrs. Laura Kovatch, Fourth Grade

Hi! My name is Laura Kovatch and I teach fourth grade Language Arts and Science. This is my thirteenth year here at St. John Fisher, and I feel so lucky to be part of such a wonderful school community. Outside of school, I love to travel and spend time with my family, especially my beautiful daughter Katelyn. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year together!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  I can't believe we will be flipping the calendar to May at the end of this week!  Here is some information for English and Science this week:

English-We will be finishing up our unit on figurative language this week.  We will have a test on Thursday.  We will use all that we have learned about the different types of figurative language to write our own odes.

Science-We will begin learning about our next type of energy: light.  We will learn about how light travels and how it is an important source of energy.

Reminders:  Rocket Day permission slips and money are due this Friday.

Have a nice week!
