Week of April 8th

Posted on Apr 08, 2019

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  I can't believe it is our last week of school before Spring Break! We have a busy and exciting week ahead!

We are really excited for our field to trip Naper Settlement on Tuesday! Thank you to all the parent who volunteered to chaperone. I wish we could bring everyone with us, but unfortunately for this trip we are only allowed one chaperone.  There will be an upcoming opportunity for parents to volunteer to help us build and launch our rockets, so we are not done needing parent volunteers for the year!  For the field trip, students need to wear their gym uniforms and bring a bag lunch.  Wednesday marks the middle of the third trimester.  On Friday we will attend our all-school prayer service and reflect on all that God has done for us.

In class this week:

Language Arts-We will continue our figurative language unit.  Students will be bringing an idiom to school on Friday.  Directions for the project were sent home today.  We also have our unit 10 vocabulary quiz on Tuesday.

Science-We have our energy and heat test on Wednesday.  We will also be working on an Earth Day project.

Spelling-We are on Unit 30 this week, and our test will be on Friday.

Have a wonderful week!  I hope everyone has a terrific break and a Happy Easter!  I will see you back at school on April 25th!
