Week of February 11th

Posted on Feb 11, 2019

I hope everyone had a nice weekend!  I can't believe that we will be celebrating Valentine's Day this week!  The year is certainly flying by.  Students can bring in a wrapped treat and/or valentines on Thursday if they would like.  We have 20 students in Room 212.  On Valentine's Day we will also be collecting donations for Special Olympics. Students can be out of uniform on Valentine's Day with a $2.00 donation.

Language Arts-We will continue our study of adverbs.  We will practice identifying them in sentences and using them to compare.  We will also continue to work on our President's Day opinion pieces.  On Wednesday we will have our unit 7 vocabulary quiz.

Science-We are wrapping up our study of the human body.  This week we will discuss our last system; the muscular system.  I have decided to reschedule the human body test until next Thursday, the 21st.  A note about our human body t-shirts project will be coming home this week.  Please bring your plain white shirts in by Tuesday, the 18th.  This is always an activity that the students really enjoy, and I know that they are already looking forward to it!

Spelling-We are on Unit 22 this week, and our test will be on Friday.

Remember, in honor of President's Day there is no school next Monday, the 18th.

Have a terrific week!
