Week of February 12th

I hope everyone had a terrific weekend and enjoyed the snow day! 

**We will have our classroom Valentine's Day celebration on Tuesday.  Students can bring in treats and/or valentines to pass out to the class.
**Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, and we will attend an all-school mass that afternoon. 

Language Arts-This week we will continue our unit on adverbs and unit 6 in our vocabulary books.  We will also be working on our opinion writing pieces. 

Science-We will continue learning about energy and forces.  Last week the students completed an investigation to determine how speed and energy are related.  The students had the opportunity to perform an investigation, collect data, calculate averages, and analyze their results.

Spelling-We are on Unit 23 this week, and our test will be on Friday.  Since we were not in school this past Friday, we will make-up our unit 22 test on Tuesday.
