Week of March 2nd

I hope everyone had a nice weekend! We are definitely looking forward to some warmer weather this week, so that we can get outside for recess! I can't believe we are starting the third trimester! Report cards go home on Wednesday.  Please be sure to sign the envelope and return it to school on Thursday. 

Language Arts-This week we will discuss negatives and begin learning about prepositions.  Our Unit 10 vocabulary quiz is on Tuesday.  We will also be working on the rough drafts of our Women’s History Month reports.

Science-We will continue learning about forces and energy.  This week we will discuss gravity and friction and begin learning about energy transfer.

Spelling-We are on Unit 25 this week, and our test will be on Friday.

Here are some pictures from Science last week.  We completed an activity called "The Moving Marble".  Students had to make a prediction, conduct an investigation, record data, and explain their findings.
