7th & 8th Grade Religion-Week of December 7th

I'm sure our 8th graders are all breathing a big sigh of relief now that their high school entrance exam is behind them. I am confident they all did great considering the challenging circumstances they have experienced this past year. Our challenges often make us stronger!  We are now beginning our 2nd trimester...FRESH START!  Please continue to encourage your son/daughter to keep up their academic efforts in each class.   

Important Information:

• Students may wear ugly Christmas sweaters on Friday, December 11th, with a $1.00 donation.  All donations will benefit Pro Labore Dei.
• Confirmation paperwork and fees are due by noted due dates.

***7th Grade Religion***

This week we will continue our discussion of creating the Kingdom of God here on earth by respecting the dignity of every person.  We will be working in the Morality book and will be talking about the spiritual and corporal works of mercy; their meaning and the various ways they can be demonstrated to help those in need.

***All students should continue to work on their FIVE hours of required service for this second trimester.

***8th Grade Religion***

This week we will be continuing on with our Confirmation preparation. We will be discussing the role of the Confirmation sponsor as well as the expository essay the students will be required to write about their Confirmation sponsor. In this essay, students will be discussing their sponsors' demonstration of the gifts of the Holy Spirit as well as how they will emulate their sponsor's demonstration of these gifts in their own lives.

***All students should continue to work on their EIGHT hours of required service for this second trimester.
