7th & 8th Grade Religion-Week of October 26th

On Tuesday, October 27th, Father Tom McCarthy will be visiting SJF and will be meeting with our 8th grade students discussing topics such as faith, leadership, and the many challenges facing teenagers in today's society.

Friday, October 30th, the Jr. High students may dress down and wear orange and black in celebration of Halloween.  Unfortunately, because of COVID safety measures, the students may not bring in candy or treats to share with their classmates.

***7th Grade Religion***

This week we will continue on with chapter 3 in our Blest Are We book.  We will be discussing our conscience and how it is formed, venial and mortal sin, and the courage of Saint Bernard Lichtenberg as he publicly condemned the horrific actions of Nazi soldiers. 

***All seventh graders should continue to work on satisfying their FIVE hours of required service for this first trimester.

***8th Grade Religion***

This week we will continue our discussion of the evangelization of Christianity throughout Europe and the monastic movement of Christians to the outskirts of the Roman Empire. We will be reviewing the important points and events covered in this chapter and will be correcting the chapter 4 study guide. The chapter 4 test is scheduled for Thursday, October 29th

***All eighth graders should continue to work on satisfying their EIGHT hours of required service for this first trimester.
