Mrs. Maura Grochocinski, Junior High Religion

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year.  We are all looking forward to a successful school year with your child.

A little about myself: due to the difficulty in pronouncing my last name, I am known to the SJF students and to many of the parents as “Mrs. G.”  I live in Most Holy Redeemer parish and my husband and I have been blessed with three wonderful daughters.

This year will be my 20th year teaching at Saint John Fisher. I have taught different grades and various subjects throughout the years. I have enjoyed teaching religion in the Jr. High for the past ten years, watching our students grow both academically and spiritually.

I'm looking forward to an exciting school year with our Jr. High students and can't wait to see them on their first day of school, Wednesday, August 21st.

We're in the "home stretch" and looking forward to all of the exciting events in the upcoming weeks.  The eighth grade and the rest of our school will honor Mary this Friday, at 11:00, at our May Crowing prayer service.  All are invited to attend.

All students should be working on their FIVE hours of required service for this third trimester.

This week we will be working on our "With Understanding Comes Acceptance" slide project.  We will also be practicing for our May Crowning prayer service.

***All 8th grade students have a late start on Friday and should arrive to school at 10:30.

***The graduation fee of $20.00 is due for each student at this time.

All students should be working on their EIGHT hours of required service for this third trimester.
