It was great to see and meet so many of our Jr. High parents last Wednesday at the Back to School Curriculum Night. Working together, I'm confident that we can make this a successful and enjoyable year for all. This week, the eighth grade class will be hosting our beginning of the year all school mass on Friday, September 7th, at 1:00. All are welcome to attend!
**Mass time has been changed to 10:00.
At mass, we will be introducing this year's theme to the rest of the students: Faith to Move Mountains. We will also be discussing Prayer Partners, students from various grade levels pairing up to celebrate and share their faith together at mass, in the classroom, and during activities.
***7th Grade Religion***

This week, we will be completing and correcting the review exercises and study guide for chapter one in our Blest Are We book. Some of the main concepts discussed in this chapter were the Incarnation, the role of oral tradition, and Mary, our model disciple. The chapter one test will be Friday, September 7th. In order to prepare for this test, students should know all of the vocabulary words for this chapter, review their class notes, and also review the corrected chapter one review and study guide.
**Due to mass time being changed to Friday morning, I will not be seeing the 7th grade students for the full period and am postponing their test until next Tuesday.
***All students should continue to work on their FIVE hours of required service for this first trimester.
***8th Grade Religion***

This week, the eighth graders will be busy preparing for our first all school mass. They will be working on the readings, intercessions, songs, and the presentation of this year's school theme: Faith to Move Mountains.
***All students should continue to work on their EIGHT hours of required service for this first trimester.
