September 9th

Posted on Sep 09, 2019

September is flying by as we see the set up for Fisher Fest in the parking lot already!  The students will be very excited this week, so lets try our best to keep things calm.  In reading, we are moving onto Gary Soto's poem "Oranges".  We will go through the plot pyramid, and compare/contrast what Soto wants the readers to notice.  We will also read an article with the same theme as these two stories. In language, we will finish up with the apostrophe and move onto quotation marks and how to properly use them in our writing.  In writing, we will work from our ideas in the "light bulb" to what was the most exciting part of Fisher Fest.  Please remember to keep the amount of sleep each night a priority!!!

Friday, September13th is a holiday from school due to Fisher Fest...
