Week of February 18th

Posted on Feb 18, 2020

Can you believe that we are almost through with February??  Time is flying by so quickly!  In reading this week we will cover more activities with our short story The Lottery.  We will discuss the symbolism and the Jim Crow Laws that were in place during this time period.  In language we are on the comparative adjectives; do you add ER and EST, or do you have to put more and most in front of the adjective.  In writing, we are on the final leg of the book analysis.  We will start our final note cards this week with point of view, and title significance, theme and literary techniques.  We will finish all of this on Friday, 2/21.  This will give the students all next week to pull their projects together.  The Formal Book Analysis will be due on my desk Friday, February 28th.  NO EXCEPTIONS  This is also the end of the 2nd trimester.  Let's continue to work hard.
