Week of October 15th

Posted on Oct 15, 2019

Welcome back from a restful, chilly weekend!  This week in reading we have started our second short story call "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street".  this short story was written by Rod Serling who went on to bring his stories to The Twilight Zone.  In this story we are going to focus on Mood and Tone with both the reading and writing parts.  In Language we are going to start discussing the difference between dependent clauses and independent clauses.  This will tie in with our sentences which we are working on.  In writing, we are working on an Autumn poem, either about Halloween or something crisp and cool.

There is a lot going on during our short week!  On Wednesday, 10/16 the High Schools will be here to talk with the junior high students.  On Friday.10/18 the seventh graders , with the help of Ms. Chermack are putting on the all school mass.  Please join us:)  Have a great week.
