Report Cards go home Wednesday
Next Monday and Tuesday are 11:30 dismissals and parent teacher conferences
For the rest of the week, the info to know is as follows:
Math- We will continue working on Chapter 4: adding and subtracting two digit numbers. Please continue to practice addition/subtraction with your child. Being fluent in addition and subtraction problems will help the students be successful. Practicing flashcards at home, apps on the ipad or playing Math Reflex online are just some examples of how to practice.
Spelling- The Spelling words for this week are as follows:wait, stay, save, say, ate, rain, safe, day, play, may, friends, since, been, show, and those. If children use capital letters inappropriately, or write letters backwards, the word will be marked wrong. Homework on Monday is 4X each
Reading- The students will be reading How I Beat the Giants and Play Ball. The students should read Play Ball for homework on Wednesday.. Every Friday, the kids will take a vocabulary/comprehension quiz that I will take for a grade out of 10 points. This is the last full week of November and students need to pass 4 AR tests this month. I wrote a note in the student’s planner if they still need to take a test.
Religion- We will start working on Chapter 5: Celebrating God’s Forgiveness.
Language Arts- We will be finishing our “How to Cook a Thanksgiving Dinner” paper.
Social Studies-We start working on Unit 3, working together in a community
Science- We will be discussing the parts of a plant
