Mrs.Carole Scannell Junior High Reading/Language - 7th

My name is Mrs. Carole Scannell and I am the 7th grade ELA teacher.  I have been a parishioner for more than twenty years, and been involved in a few church activities.  I have taught at a few different schools in the area, but look forward to my new adventure here at St. John Fisher.  My five children are all graduates of St. John Fisher which brings me great pride.

Week of March 21st

Posted on Mar 20, 2022

Welcome back to a full week of work!  If you have not signed the report card envelope, please do, and then send it back with your child.  As a reminder to students, IReady is to be completed at home.

In reading, we will start our new story"Allied with Green".  All of our stories in this unit are about our natural resources. We will have vocabulary words and comprehension questions.

In language, we will work on complex sentences.  We know in order to make a complex sentence, we join a dependent clause(needs more) with an independent clasue(complete sentence).

In writing, we are going to give arguments another try.  The students will choose from a list, the inventions they think is the most important, and tell me why!
