Mrs.Carole Scannell Junior High Reading/Language - 7th

My name is Mrs. Carole Scannell and I am the 7th grade ELA teacher.  I have been a parishioner for more than twenty years, and been involved in a few church activities.  I have taught at a few different schools in the area, but look forward to my new adventure here at St. John Fisher.  My five children are all graduates of St. John Fisher which brings me great pride.

Week of November 29th

Posted on Nov 28, 2021

Welcome Back!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and rested up a bit.  This week is busy with lots of extras.  On Monday, 11/29 we will have a discussion about neighborhood safety with the Chicago Police.  On Wednesday, 12/1 we have early dismissal, but the students will have lunch at school.  On Friday, 12/3 is the Womens Club Vendor Fair and if your Mom attends, you get to be out of uniform on Monday!!!

In reading, we will start a new and funny short story about an old married couple and how they try and trick each other.  Along with vocabulary and comprehension questions we will work on the plot pyramid too.

In language, we will work on the reasons we use commas and how the glossary works.

In writing, we will start our newest writing piece about Christmas and lots more...

Let us work hard this trimester and try to out do what we did the fist trimester!!!
