Mrs.Carole Scannell Junior High Reading/Language - 7th

My name is Mrs. Carole Scannell and I am the 7th grade ELA teacher.  I have been a parishioner for more than twenty years, and been involved in a few church activities.  I have taught at a few different schools in the area, but look forward to my new adventure here at St. John Fisher.  My five children are all graduates of St. John Fisher which brings me great pride.

Week of November 30th

Posted on Nov 29, 2020

Welcome back after a long and restful Thanksgiving break!  I hope everyone got to spend time with family to catch up and eat.  Now we are back and it is the end of the first trimester, and the beginning of a new month.  Let's try and remember the lessons of Advent , anticipating the arrival of the Christ child, and enjoying the peace that comes with that.

In reading this week, we will continue with our short story "The Camera Does Lie" and talk about the author's purpose, and the plot pyramid, along with the story questions and test.  In language, we are going to discuss correlative conjunctions and how both conjunctions need to be used.  In writing, we are going to focus on what's real and what is a figment of our imagination.

Trimester One ends Monday, November 30th and report cards will come home Thursday, December 3rd.
