Come help make lunches to feed the poor in Robbins through the Pro Labore Dei outreach on Saturday, Saturday December 28, 2019. We will meet in the rectory basement at 9:15 A.M. to prepare lunches, clean up and head out by 10:30am. We will need help with donations, assembling the lunches (~20 people), and volunteers to load up and deliver lunches to Robbins.
Donations: (quantities are large, please feel free to offer a portion of whatever the need is!!):
- 27 tomatoes
- 7 large heads of iceberg lettuce
These items may be dropped off before Saturday (Note rectory closed 12/25):
- 8 cases (24 pks) of water
160 individual bags of chips
- 200 individually wrapped treats
- 4 jars of Mayo
- 100 quart size bag
- 200 Extra Large (8 lb) Brown Lunch bags
We always accept winter clothes, boots, coats, and gently used shoes. Also we welcome sanitary kits/ supplies for men and women (i.e. toothbrush, toothpaste, socks, razors, travel size: shave cream, soap, shampoo, conditioner, chapstick, bandaids, lotion, feminine products, washcloths, wipes, first aid cream, sun block).
