This week we spent time discussing how fortunate we are for the many blessings in our life. No surprise that air conditioning remains at the top of everyone’s list this week as we beat the 90 + degree heat!

    Dear SJF Families, The time has finally arrived! The first day of school is this Wednesday, August 25th! The teachers have been working tirelessly the past few weeks to prepare their rooms, minds and hearts for the new school year. We have new curriculum, new materials, new flexible seating, new faculty members and air conditioning in every classroom. Now, all we need is our Falcons! We cannot wait to welcome our Falcons back with open arms this Wednesday; it is going to be a great year!

I am going to be honest, part of me didn’t think this would be possible. Most days, especially during the first 7 months of the school year, we operated as if it would be our last day in school.

    Dear SJF Families, Today marked the last day of school for our 8th grade Falcons. We are so proud of all that they accomplished and are confident that they received a strong foundation which will lead them to great success at: Br. Rice, De La Salle, Marist, Mother McAuley, Mount Carmel, St. Ignatius and Whitney Young. Though this class is the 70th graduating class from St. John Fisher, they truly are a class of firsts!

    Dear SJF Families, Today was a phenomenal day for our school community. I could not be more impressed or proud of how our students, teachers and parents came together in support of our first Breast Cancer Walkathon. Through monetary donations and the t-shirt and lawn sign fundraiser, as a community we raised over $3,500 to donate to the Little Company of Mary Cancer Center in honor of our 2 beloved faculty members who are currently fighting this disease.
