    Dear St. John Fisher Families, The business and excitement of the end of the school year was met with an abrupt halt at the beginning of this week as we learned of the tragedy in Uvalde, Texas. Our hearts are shattered for the victims, their families and loved ones. There are no words to describe how horrific that event was and how close to home it hits all of us as parents, teachers and a school community in general. Every day is truly a gift and can never be taken for granted.

I could not be more impressed or proud of how our students, teachers and parents came together in support of our first Breast Cancer Walkathon. Through monetary donations and the t-shirt and lawn sign fundraiser, as a community we raised over $3,500 to donate to the Little Company of Mary Cancer Center in honor of our 2 beloved faculty members who are currently fighting this disease.

    Dear SJF Families, There is never a dull moment here at SJF. Today proved to be no different as we had an unexpected gas issue. Many of our teachers and staff members reported smelling gas in the school building. We immediately contacted People’s Gas, the Chicago Fire Department and Chicago Police Department for assistance with this matter, and out of an abundance of caution, evacuated our students from the school building.

    Time is running out! It was brought to my attention yesterday, January 14th, that many of the 7th and 8th grade students were unaware of the details of our upcoming Ski Trip. Last night, in a few short hours, I received over twenty late requests to attend the trip.
