Dear SJF Families,

I hope you were able to view SJF’s beautiful May Crowning Ceremony lead and organized by our wonderful 8th graders, Fr. Ken, Dr. Chermak, Ms. Browne, Mrs. Condon and Mrs. G. We are so grateful for all of our opportunities to celebrate and share in our faith experiences together. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our truly incredible and talented Director of Religious Education, Dr. Elena Chermak. Last week’s First Holy Communion was spectacular. Dr. Chermak had many obstacles to work around during this COVID year. We are thankful for her creativity, grace, dedication and commitment to making every celebration and mass feel special and unique every single time. We are blessed and fortunate to have Dr. Chermak at our school and parish!

As this week is Teacher Appreciation Week, I would also like to give a “shout-out” to our amazing faculty. It is because of this talented and dedicated group that our school is so successful and our children are prepared for their futures. We thank our teachers for loving their students as if they were their own and for going above and beyond each year, but especially during this unprecedented time. Quite simply, they are the best! We also pause to recognize and appreciate the FSA and all of our loving parent supporters for making this week so amazing.

Working together and supporting one another is what our school is all about. “I can do things you cannot. You can do things I cannot. Together we can do great things.” ~ Mother Teresa Thank you for making St. John Fisher GREAT! We appreciate each and every one of you!

Finally, Happy Mother’s Day to the amazing mothers in our community! Your sacrifice, love for and influence on your child(ren) is beyond measure! I hope you have an amazing weekend; no one is more deserving!

In unity and hope,

-Mrs. Maura Nash
