Blessing of Pets
Feast of Saint Francis: Thursday, October 4th at 2:45 p.m.
All pets and their owners are invited to meet at the Church bell tower on Thursday, October 4th at 2:45 p.m. Father Ken will bless all pets and people there. All pets should be leashed or contained.
The animals of God’s creation inhabit the skies, the earth and the sea. They share in the ways of humans and have an important part in our lives. Saint Francis of Assisi recognized this when he called the animals, wild and tame, his brother and sisters. Remembering Francis’ love for these creatures, we ask God’s blessing on our pets, and thank God for the gift of our beloved animals.
