The parishioners of St. John Fisher Parish have been informed that our beloved Pastor Emeritus passed away Saturday. Fr. Tom Purtell provided councel in times of trouble, forgiveness in times of failure, courage in times of weakness, laughter during ordinary days & love through it all. He mentored us as children, guided us through teen years, confirmed us, married us, baptized our babies, and helped us faithfully cope with crisis & loss of loved ones. To an amazing man who shepherded his flock as only a true patriarch could.
