Dear SJF Families,
Happy Veteran’s Day! Thanks to our incredible S.O.A.R. kids and their fabulous moderators, Ms. Colleen Dunlavy, Mrs. Kristy Condon and Mrs. Carole Scannell, we were able to host a beautiful and moving ceremony to pay tribute to the veterans in our school community. Over 40 veterans related to our students attended our prayer service and breakfast this morning. We are so proud of our Falcons who organized this event and actively participated by sharing their many talents. Today’s event also demonstrated to all of our Falcons the importance of pausing to honor those who sacrifice their lives for our freedom. Though every day is a great day to be a Falcon, today was a real high moment for us all. We are so proud of our students and grateful for all of the veterans in our community and world at large!
I cannot believe that we have almost arrived at the end of the first trimester. Please have a conversation with your child and make sure they complete their AR points and turn in any final assignments and projects. Our Falcons have worked so hard all year; let’s finish strong!
Thank you for your continued support of Catholic education, but specifically St. John Fisher School. You Belong Here.
In unity and hope,
-Mrs. Nash
