    Dear SJF Families, We have reached a significant milestone together. As you know, this Monday, SJF will be mask optional. Because the masking topic is emotional to many, these past few weeks have been difficult. SJF is grateful that each family now has a choice. March 13th will mark two years from the date that our community was first impacted by COVID.

    Dear SJF Families, Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding the masking topic on the survey that was sent out yesterday. In case you missed it, here is the link to the survey. We are hoping that every parent shares their perspective. SJF’s faculty and staff completed a similar survey. This information will help guide us (the local city arch school principals and myself) in our anticipated communications with the leaders of the Health Department and the City of Chicago.

Making a system-wide mask-optional decision that doesn’t apply to all of the schools in the Archdiocese system is confusing and frustrating to many.

    Dear SJF Families, Though this week’s unexpected snow days landed right in the middle of Catholic Schools Week, they didn’t put a damper on our school spirit! We were still able to have fun celebrating CSW and acknowledge our gratitude for each other and our amazing school and community! Today was an exciting and monumental day for our school as we inducted the very first members of the inaugural chapter of the National Junior Honor Society.

    Dear SJF Families, We are so excited to celebrate all of the things that make St. John Fisher and Catholic education so special this week during Catholic Schools Week! It is only fitting that this year Catholic Schools Week is book-ended by two of our sacraments: First Reconciliation and Confirmation. Our adorable 2nd graders took a big step in their faith this week participating in their First Reconciliation.
